PM invited to visit NZ

New Zealand's Prime Minister has invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit the country early next year. New Zealand Foreign Minister Murray McCully conveyed the invitation of his Prime Minister during a meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday. The meeting was held in the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Myanmar’s new capital NayPyiTaw. They discussed issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, the two Foreign Ministers also discussed the issue of purchasing a ferryboat by New Zealand from Bangladesh. McCully appreciated the positive contributions made by the Bangladesh community in his country, especially in its socioeconomic development. AH Mahmood Ali was attending the 2-day ARF that began on Aug 9, according to a news agency.
