PM mourns Dr Mosharraf\\\'s death

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock at the death of Alhaj Dr Md Mosharraf Hossain, an Independence Award recipient and a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In a condolence message, the Prime Minister recalled the outstanding contribution of Dr Mosharraf to the country’s great War of Liberation as well as in the field of politics. She said, a valiant freedom fighter and dedicated politician, Dr Mosharraf, worked for the welfare of the country and people in his entire life. Dr Mosharraf died of a heart attack at Apollo Hospitals on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 79. Husband of Ashrafunnesa Mosharraf, president of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League, Dr Mosharraf was elected MCA and MP from Mirpur-Mohammadpur area in Dhaka, according to BSS.
