PM mourns Gopalganj AL leader death

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock at the death of Sheikh Aliuzzaman Rasu Mia, president of the Tungipara unit of Awami League (AL) in Gopalganj district. In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said that Awami League lost a long tested and devoted leader with his death. She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed her sympathy to the bereaved family. Rasu Mia breathed his last on July 23 at 2:45 pm at his own residence in Tungipara due to old age complications. He was 75. He left behind his wife, five sons, one daughter and a host of well-wishers, according to a news agency.
