PM mourns her assignment officer\\\'s demise

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Assignment Officer and Awami League leader Md Rakib Hossain died of cardiac arrest in the city on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister expressed deep shock at demise of her Assignment Officer Rakib Hossain, an Assistant Secretary of the Awami League’s Central Sub-Committee. In a condolence message, the PM said that Rakib Hossain was a sincere and devoted official, and with his death, she lost a close aide and also one close to her. She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. Late Rakib was also the President of BCL Gopalganj district unit, according to private TV channels.
