PM orders stern actions against unruly party men

Ruling Awami League president Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has vented her serious anger over reported violence and vandalism by party followers, reports UNB.
Addressing the Central Working Committee meeting at her Dhanmondi office Saturday noon, she asked the party leaders to give "maximum efforts" to restore discipline within and outside the Awami League.
Sources in the meeting said murders of Sanaullah Nur Babu, 35, Chairman of Boraigram upazila in Natore and Jubo League activist Yusuf Ali in city's Maghbazar shocked the Prime Minister.
"The Prime Minister has ordered a fair investigation into the murders to identify the real culprits," a working committee member told the news agency.
The sources said the PM ordered stern actions against the unruly party leaders and workers.
She ordered whoever the culprits are, must be brought to book. Sanaullah Nur Babu, 35, Chairman of Boraigram upazila and also president of pourashava BNP was killed and 29 others, including pourashava mayor and journalists, were injured during an attack by AL activists at Bonpara in Boraigram upazila on Friday.
