PM performs umrah in Makkah

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina performed umrah in Makkah Tuesday midnight and offered prayer seeking divine blessings for the people of Bangladesh as well as peace and prosperity of the entire Muslim ummah. Hasina made 'tawaf' around the holy Ka'ba at 12:35pm (local time) and ran between Safa and Marwa. She later offered the prayer. Earlier, she arrived at Jeddah from Riyadh by a special royal aircraft. — UNB
