PM seeks more Chinese investment

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday sought more Chinese investment in Bangladesh's various sectors, including energy and infrastructures, reports UNB.
The Prime Minister came up with the request when Zeng Peiyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Boao Forum for Asia and a former member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met her at her Sangsad Bhaban office in the evening.
After the meeting, PM's Deputy Press Secretary Bijam Lal Dev briefed reporters.
The Prime Minister said Bangladesh values the excellent relations between the governments and parties of the two counties, and hoped that these ties would further be strengthened in the days to come.
Sheikh Hasina also stressed the need for Bangladesh's direct road link with Kunming of China, and said it will benefit the businesspeople of both the countries.
