Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina condemned and expressed concern over Friday's suicide attack on a Pakistani mosque during Zum'a prayer that killed at least 48 people, reports UNB.
In a message, she said she had no word to condemn the cowardly and brutal attack on the general public who came to the mosque for Jum'ma prayer.
"Those, who made the heinous attack, are enemies of peace, democracy and progress of people of the region and enemy of Islam, the religion of peace," the PM said.
She prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and also conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and the people and the government of Pakistan.
Sheikh Hasina reiterated the need for taking coordinated and effective initiatives to face terrorism and militancy in this region.
