PM thanks KSA for allowing BD workers to change Aqama

Bangladesh on Wednesday extended its sincere thanks to Saudi Arabian government for allowing nearly nine lakh Bangladeshi workers there to change their Aqama (work permits) and professions. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended the thanks on behalf of her government when Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah NA Al Bussairy paid a courtesy call on her at her office. She said it is a unique decision of the Saudi government which will help remove the long plights of Bangladeshi workers staying there. Deputy Press Secretary Bijan Lal Deb briefed reporters after the meeting. Sheikh Hasina expressed the hope that the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh would be strengthened further in the days to come for mutual benefits. Ambassador at-Large M Ziauddin, Principal Secretary Abdus Sobhan Sikder and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Mahbubul Hoque Shakil were present, according to UNB.
