PM to brief media today on China visit

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina will hold a press conference on Sunday to discuss the outcomes of her recent visit to China, reports UNB.
The briefing is scheduled for 04:00 pm at her official residence, Ganobhaban, as per a release from her press wing. Prime Minister Hasina visited Beijing from July 08 to 10 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and returned to Bangladesh last Thursday.
During her stay, she met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and held bilateral talks with Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People.
These high-level meetings focused on strengthening development and economic cooperation between the two nations.
Bangladesh and China signed and renewed 21 cooperation documents, primarily Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), aiming to bolster their partnership.
Among the key outcomes announced was the conclusion of a joint feasibility study on a Bangladesh-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA), highlighting the growing economic ties between the two countries.
