PM to handover cheques to BDR mutiny victims\\\' families today

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina will distribute cheques of financial assistance today (Tuesday) to the dependants of the army officers, killed brutally inside Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) headquarters at city's Peelkhana in the mutiny of February 25-26, 2009.
She will hand over the cheques to the family members of the victims at a simple ceremony to be held at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
In assistance with the PMO, Bangladesh Association of Bankers (BAB) has been providing the members of all martyred army officers with the annual financial support of Tk 480,000 to each family.
The BAB will continue the financial assistance of Tk 40,000 per month to each of the martyred families for 10 years, starting from 2009.
