PM to interact with grassroots leaders, officials

In a bid to expedite development activities at the grassroots level, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday initiated a new move to strengthen the government's communication with the local tier of the administration through videoconferences at least twice a month now and then every week. Under the move, the Prime Minister from now on will regularly exchange views with the public representatives at local level and top officials of the district administration to know about their problems, progress of execution of the ongoing development programmes of their respective areas, according to a news agency.
