PM to take responsibility of Zaglul\\\'s family

Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will take responsibility of senior journalist Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury who was killed in a road accident in Dhaka on Saturday night. The minister was speaking with journalists after attending a joint meeting in Allenbari BRTA office in the city’s Tejgaon Tuesday afternoon. At the joint meeting, the ministers asked the officials of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and leaders of transport owners and workers to jointly work to curb road accidents. The road transport minister told the meeting that accidents on road and highways have to be prevented immediately. He also informed the meeting that the Prime Minister will take the responsibilities of noted columnist Zaglul Ahmed Chowdhury’s family as she is deeply concerned on the matter. PM Sheikh Hasina is very close to Zaglul Ahmed’s family, said Quader. He added that the probe body, formed to investigate Zaglul’s death in the road accident, will submit its findings to him on Sunday along with its suggestions about steps to be taken over the incident, according to a news agency.
