PM to watch BD-Zimbabwe ODI today
Monday, 1 December 2014
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, an avid cricket fan, is scheduled to go to Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka to watch the later part of Bangladesh-Zimbabwe one-day international (ODI) match on Monday afternoon. A member of her media wing said the PM is likely to arrive at the Mirpur stadium to watch the 5th and the last game of the ODI series which hosts are already leading 4-0. The PM is also likely to join the award giving ceremony and hand over the trophy to the winning team and prizes to the best-performers in the match and the series. Bangladesh, led by Mushrafe bin Mortaza, are expected to seal the ODI series by winning the final limited-overs game today, which will also hand the Tigers a chance to complete ‘whitewash’ against the African team. The Tigers have already swept the 3-match Test cricket series by 3-0, according to a news agency.
