Issuing a strong note of warning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said the government would not spare anyone involved in the recent abduction and killing of seven people in Narayanganj.
“We won’t spare anyone involved in the abduction and killing of seven people in Narayanganj, no matter how powerful the person is,” the Prime Minister told the weekly cabinet meeting.
According to sources close to the meeting, the Prime Minister raised the Narayanganj abduction issue at the meeting and issued the warning.
The Prime Minister told the meeting that the government is pursuing a strong stance to find out the real culprits. “We’re firm to find out the culprits …we won’t leave any stone unturned,” she said.
The other cabinet members who were present at the meeting unequivocally supported the Prime Minister’s stance.
Hasina asked the cabinet members to remain watchful about the matter and work sincerely, according to UNB.
