PM witnesses World Cup Cricket Trophy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday witnessed the much-coveted World Cup Cricket Trophy, which is now in Bangladesh as part of its visit to countries that are going to participate in next year’s World Cup Cricket Tournament. Officials of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) brought the World Cup to the Prime Minister’s official Ganobhaban residence in the morning to show her the spectacular trophy. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister asked the cricket players of Bangladesh national team to take preparations with utmost sincerity for better result in the upcoming World Cup, 2015. ‘I hope that you will further brighten the country’s image by showing excellent performance in the World Cup, and for this, you will have to practice with utmost attention,’ she said, according to BSS.
