PM's resignation sparks violence in Cox's Bazar

Following Sheikh Hasina's resignation on Monday, various government buildings and residences of local Awami League leaders and activists were attacked and vandalised in Cox's Bazar.
According to several Awami League leaders and activists, after news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation broke, a group of people marched through different areas of the city.
The agitated mob vandalised and set fire to the Cox's Bazar District Awami League office on Laldighi side, the residence of District Awami League President Mujibur Rahman and the house of former District Awami League President AKM Mozammel Haque, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiqul Islam.
