Poet Mahbubul Alam laid to rest at Banani graveyard

Language veteran and poet Mahbub ul Alam Chowdhury was laid to rest at the city's Banani Graveyard Monday, reports UNB.
His second Namaj-e-Janaza was held on the premises of Dhaka University Mosque after Zohr prayers Monday while the first at Uttara-3 Jame Mosque Sunday.
Earlier in the day, his body was taken to Central Shaheed Minar from BIRDEM mortuary. People from all walks of life showed their last respect to the late poet from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
His qulkhwani will be held at his residence in sector No 3, Road No 20, House No 48 and Uttara-3 Jame Mosque after Asr prayers Friday (December 28).
