Poets' Grand Conference held

A daylong grand conference for Bangladeshi poets was held at Sufia Kamal auditorium in National Museum in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
The festival titled "Bangladeshi Poets' Grand Conference and International Poetry Festival 2009" was organised by Bishwa Kobita Parishad to mark their 20th founding anniversary.
This year's theme of the conference was-Bishwa Shantir Janyo Bishwa Kobita.
National Professor Kabir Chowdhury inaugurated the festival with poet Somresh Devnath in the chair. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad attended the programme as the chief guest.
A number of poets from different parts of the country took part at the festival and recited their poems based on life, culture and tradition.
