Police AC advanced to the 2nd slot in the Metropolis Second Division Football League outplaying Dhanmondi Club by 3-0 goals at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium at Kamalapur in the city Sunday.
Al Amin, Shaheen Miah and Amirul Islam scored one goal each for Police AC, which dominated the first half 2-0, reports UNB.
With the day's convincing victory, Police AC secured 30 points from 15 matches to share the second slot with Motijheel T&T Club, who played one match less.
Uttar Baridhara Club tops the league table with 36 points from 14 matches to ensure their promotion to the Metropolis First Division Football League.
