Police arrest couple for abducting baby

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) rescued a four-month- old male baby from Kushtia around one and a half months after his abduction from Gazipur and arrested a couple for their suspected link to the misdeed, reports BSS.
"We arrested Enamul Mia and his wife Akhni Akhter from Kushtia and rescued a 4-month-old baby Dipayon from their possessions in connection with a general diary (GD) filed with Joydebpur Police Station," said an official.
During the preliminary interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they had kidnapped the baby as they have no child, he also said.
The baby was later handed over to his mother Dipti Sarker, a garment factory worker, he added.
