Police asked to discharge duties professionally

CHITTAGONG: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khandker has asked the members of Bangladesh Police to discharge their duties professionally to maintain law and order as well as in curbing criminal acts.
The IGP was addressing a welfare meeting of the members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police at the Metropolitan Shooting Club field at the Dampara Police Lines in the port city Friday.
The members of police, who attended the meeting, raised their various problems, including housing, lack of treatment facilities at the divisional police hospital and logistic support, according to a news agency.
