Police attack JCD procession, 20 injured

NARAYANGANJ, Nov 26 (bdnews24.com): At least 20 people have been injured after the police charged baton on a procession of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Friday here.
Witnesses said the police assailed the procession twice, first at around 11am near the town's rail gate-2 and once again at around 12noon in front of Narayanganj Press Club near Chashara area.
The leaders of JCD, the student wing of BNP, claimed that the police created barrier when they had gathered in front of the BNP office in the DIT commercial area at around 11am to bring out a procession. "We couldn't bring out the procession from there in the face of police obstructions", they added.
At around 11.30am, a procession, led by district JCD Vice-president Shah Alam Mukul and Organising Secretary Monirul Islam, was brought out from rail gate-2 area.
