Police have been accused of shooting a youth after they took him away in Satkhira. Satkhira Sadar Police OC Golam Rahman said police raided a petrol station around Palashpole in the city early on Saturday. Miscreants hurled bombs and police fired back wounding the youth. A press release from the district police said the injured, identified as Mintu Sardar, 30, was a drug peddler. But the locals said Mintu was a local carpenter. The OC claimed 100 bottles of Phensydyl had been recovered from the spot. — bdnews14.com
