Police hold rally to make Gazipur drug-free

GAZIPUR, Oct 26: Gazipur police administration organised a rally to make drug free Gazipur, on Saturday.
Liberation war affairs minister A.K.M. Mozammel Haque inaugurated the rally as the chief guest. A number of people from all walks of society attended the programmes that included rally, discussion meeting and drug destroying activity in front of Superintendent of Gazipur police's office from morning to noon.
Zahid Ahsan Rasel MP, Simin Hossain Rimi MP, film actor Alamgir, Ali Akber Pathan Faruk and SP Harun Or Rashid addressed the programme.
A colourful procession was brought out from SP office that paraded through the main street of the town.
A discussion meeting was also held where liberation war affairs minister A.K.M. Mozammel Haque urged the youths to play a vital role to make drug free Gazipur.
Superintendent of Gazipur police Harun Or Rashid said, awareness programmes rally and anti-drug drives will continue at different areas of Gazipur to make Gazipur drug free.
