Saturday, 20 November 2010

The law enforcers are on the hunt for BNP ward commissioner Monwar Hossain Dipjol. They, however, could not get hold of him until Friday 6 pm, reports bdnews24.com.
Dipjol, known for the notorious characters he plays on screen, assaulted a police constable on November 16 in Gabtoli area for stopping his car at an intersection. The actor reportedly slapped the policeman and beat him up with the butt of a pistol.
Dhaka's Darus Salam thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Malek suspected that the actor might have gone into hiding. "But we will soon find him out."
The police filed a case against him with the police station immediately after the incident.
The OC said different detectives were trying to locate Dipjol. "We haven't taken his attack lightly. We will arrest him at any cost."
The litigant of the case and the victim, Constable Altaf Uddin, is undergoing treatment at the police hospital, said investigation officer of the case Nazmul Huda Khan.
