Police man dies in city crash

A police constable was killed in a road accident in the city’s Uttara area early on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 21, son of Mohammad Daud Molla (police ID No- 2616) of Didikhola area in Narail district. He joined the Bangladesh Police in 2003. Uttara West Police Station sources said a pick-up ran over the on-duty police constable in front of Uttara North Tower around 2:30am, leaving him injured. He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), police and hospital sources said. Police seized the pick-up and arrested its driver, according to a news agency.
