Police nab BCL men at RU, free later

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, June 17: Motihar police arrested five leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Madar Bux Hall unit of Rajshahi University (RU) following an intra-party clash.
The leaders and activists are Shah Newaz Tokon of the Sociology Department, Ruhul Amin Babu of the Library Science, Alim of the Information and Communication Engineering, Anwar of the Law and Justice and Faruq Hossain of the Economics Department.
They were, however, released later.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Motihar police station Abul Khair said that the police detained the BCL leaders and activists on getting complaint from RU unit BCL president and secretary.
"They were released later Thursday morning after primary interrogation," the OC added.
