Police nab five Jama'at activists in two districts

The police arrested five leaders and activists of Jama'at-e-Islami Bangladesh in separate drives in Natore and Chapainawabganj districts Wednesday, reports UNB.
In Natore, the police arrested four Jama'at activists in the morning for staging demonstration in Harishpur area of the district town demanding release of their top leaders.
The arrestees were identified as, Poura unit Amir Atiqul Islam Russell, Jamal Hossain, Nurul Islam and Mehedi Hasan.
In Chapainawabganj, a Jama'at leader was arrested from Krishna Govindapur College premises under Sadar Upazila while he was trying to hold a clandestine meeting.
The arrestee was identified as Entajul Haque (51), Sadar Upazila Shura and Karmaparisad member of the party and also a teacher of local Chunakhali Madrasah.
