Police nab six outlaws

PABNA, Nov 12 (UNB): Six regional leaders of banned Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML-Janajuddha) were arrested from Kristapur field in Ataikula thana early Thursday.
The arrested persons were identified as Rafiqul Islam alias Kancha Rafiq (37) of village Bhulbaria, Monsur Ali (35) of village Toilkupa, Abdul Hannan (22) of village Hatbaria, Nizam Uddin Pramanik (30) of village Puthigara, Abdul Baten (30) of village Bamondanga under the thana and Faruk Bepari (30) of village Taruchari in Barisal district.
On secret information the police conducted a drive at the field and arrested the six men, while a gang of 10/12 armed terrorists were holding a clandestine meeting.
Rest of the terrorists, however, managed to flee the scene. The law enforcers said the arrested persons were wanted in a number of cases.
