Police recover body of 'drug dealer' in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Sept 29 (bdnews24.com): Police have recovered the body of a suspected drug dealer in Cox's Bazar.
The body was recovered from Kalatali Kata Pahar area in the district town around 11am on Saturday, said Khandaker Farid Uddin, chief of the Sadar Police Station.
The man has been identified as 45-year-old Shamsul Alam Markin, a resident of Sabrang neighbourhood of Teknaf Upazila.
Shamsul was a 'listed drug dealer' and named in 12 cases at Teknaf and other police stations on the charges of drug dealing, according to the police.
Local residents spotted the body in the early morning and reported it to police, OC Farid said.
"Police believe that he was murdered over a dispute related to drug dealing."
A shotgun, three bullets and 1,000 yaba pills were recovered from the scene, he said.
