Tuesday, 21 April 2015

Police security at BNP chief Khaleda Zia's home has been removed after she started campaigning for the city corporation polls. Khaleda's personal security staff said the two police personnel on duty in front of her home were withdrawn at 5am on Monday. When asked, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam told reporters she was not entitled to police protection. "Since she had been the prime minister more than once, we have been giving police protection from time to time considering her personal security risks."     — bdnews24.com
