Police SI held for abducting CU female student

CHITTAGONG, Mar 12 (UNB): A police sub-inspector (SI) was arrested for allegedly abducting a female student of Chittagong University at Nandirahat in Hathazari Upazila on Tuesday night.
Hathazari police said they arrested M Nasiruddin, SI of Cox's Bazar district police.
"Nasir was held along with Farzana Yasmin Rina from a CNG-scooter at about 10:30pm following an abduction case filed by Farzana's father, advocate Abdul Malek," police further said.
The arrested cop was sent to jail while the university girl was put into safe custody of the police when they were produced in chief Judicial Magistrate Shamsul Alam's court.
Court sources said Nasir told the court that he had an affair with Farzana for three years and they were coming to the port city from the CU campus when the policemen held them.
