Police source chopped to death in Pabna

PABNA, Nov 14: A police and RAB's source was chopped to death by unidentified criminals at Chakchatiyani area in Pabna district town Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mirazul Islam (41), son of late Bonder Ali of the Chak Chatiyani. The victim worked as the source of the police, the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) police claimed.
Outlaw arrested in Pabna
Meanwhile, the police arrested a convicted top leader of outlawed Sarbahara party at Khalilipur in Sujanagar Upazila of Pabna Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Abdul Gafur alias Pania Gafur (57), he was sentenced to life term imprisonment in 2004 in sub-inspector Hedayet murder case.
6 outlaws held, remand sought
Earlier, the police arrested 6 outlawed of Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP, ML-Janajudhha) faction from Kishtopur village of Ataikula thana in Pabna Thursday.
The arrestees are identified as Rafikul Islam allies Kaincha Rafik (38), regional leader of Janajudhha faction of village Vulbaria, his associates Mansur Ali (32), of village Tailkupi Abdul Hannan (26), of village Hatbaria, Abdul Baten (29), of village Bamondanga in Santhia Upazila under Pabna district, Faruk Bapery (30), of village Terochar in Barishal district and Nizam Uddin Pramanik (30), of village Puthigara of Pabna Sadar Upazila.
"They all are accused of several murder cases including murders and robberies. People often do not dare to mention their names to the law enforcers.
