A vegetable trader-turned police source was killed by unknown miscreants in city's Jatrabari area Friday, police said. The victim was identified as Amir Shikdar (28), who used to provide information about criminals to the police. A sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station said a gang of assailants knifed him in front of Surya Kamal Club in North Jatrabari at about 2:15pm, leaving him critically wounded. Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
