Police to stay as long needed for Khaleda\\\'s security: Asaduzzaman

Tuesday, 6 January 2015

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan said on Monday police will remain deployed in front of the Khaleda Zia's Gulshan political office as long as they are needed for her security, reports UNB.
Dismissing the claim that the BNP chairperson has been kept confined to her office, the junior minister said she was not confined, but additional cops were deployed for her security.
"The police, I think, will remain there as long as her security is needed…if the security concern is gone, the police will be withdrawn tomorrow," he told reporters replying to a question at his office at the Secretariat.
Asked why the police locked Khaleda's office gate Monday noon,
Asaduzzaman said he has no knowledge about it and he will talk about it only after knowing why the gate was locked.
