Police are yet to find a lead in the case of shooting of Awami League central working committee member Enamul Haque Shamim, four days after the incident. The Detective Branch of police is also investigating the matter alongside the local police. Shamim, a former Bangladesh Chhatra League (Awami League's student wing) chief, was shot at by miscreants on Thursday morning in Dhanmondi. A case filed over the attack accuses three unidentified assailants. Dhanmondi police OC Abu Bakar Siddiqui on Saturday said they are yet to make headway in the case. A source with knowledge of the case's investigation said one of Shamim's relatives and his driver were in the car during the attack. Their testimonies were recorded but investigators could not speak to the ex-BCL leader as he is undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital, according to bdnews24.com.
