Policeman, Ansar members held for mugging

KUSHTIA, May 29 (UNB): A policeman and two Ansar members were held here early Saturday for mugging.
The arrested were identified as Havilder Abul Kalam, and two Ansar members-Safar Ali and Jahangir Hossain, who were posted at Housing police camp in the town.
Police said that Kalam and two Ansar members looted five mobile phone sets, one motor cycle and some money from some people at Housing Kadamtala crossing in the town Friday night.
Being informed by the victims, local DB police arrested Kalam and two Ansar members from the police camp early Saturday.
Three arrested were later produced before a local court that sent them to jail hajat after rejecting their bail prayer.
The arrested three law enforcers were also accused of engaging in mugging earlier.
