Policemen to fly for Darfur UN peacekeeping mission

Two more contingents of Bangladesh Police consisting of 140 members are going to join the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Darfur (Sudan) this month, reports UNB.
Official sources said that 100 members from the two contingents were scheduled to leave Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport for Darfur by a UN chartered flight early Thursday.
Police Super Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan will lead BANFPU-2 and Police Super Mirza Abdullahel Baki will lead BANFPU-3. The two contingents will replace BANFPU-2 and BANFPU-3 in Darfur.
Some 130 members of the two contingents will fly for Darfur on May 23, while the remaining 50 members will leave Dhaka on May 28.
