Polls in 21 UZs likely in late May

Elections to another 21 upazila (UZ) parishads are likely to be held late next month, election commission (EC) sources said on Tuesday. The EC may announce the schedule for the sixth phase of the polls on Wednesday, the sources said speaking on condition of anonymity. The schedule was discussed at an EC meeting presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad on Tuesday, said the sources, according to a news agency.
