Polls to reserved seats in 377 UPs held

The maiden elections to the reserved seats in 377 Upazila Parishads were held on Monday. As many as 2536 candidates contested for 1245 reserved seats exclusively for the women in the elections, the Election Commission Secretariat sources said. The polls were held from 8am to 2pm through a single polling station in each upazila parishad without any break, according to a news agency.
