Poor batting led us to defeat in the 3rd T20: Litton
Saturday, 26 July 2025
Bangladesh captain Litton Das said reckless batting led to their 74-run defeat in the third T20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, reports BSS.
Having lost the game, Bangladesh squandered the chance to inflict a series whitewash on Pakistan.
Bangladesh won the first game by seven wickets and second one by an eight-run for its first ever T20 series victory against Pakistan. They eventually took the series 2-1.
"The wicket looked good to bat on but we didn't bat well in this game," Litton said after the match, adding that despite a poor batting in the third game, they overall played good cricket in the series.
"The boys played really good cricket so far, which is why we won the series."
Bangladesh made five changes in the match from the previous game as they were chasing a series sweep. The sweeping changes were made to give everyone in the squad a chance to play at least one game in the series with the Asia Cup in mind.
Bangladesh in fact were trying to decide on the best combination for the Asia Cup.
Litton said despite losing the game, "We are heading in the right direction."
"We gave a couple of chances to new players, I feel it's a positive (series) win."
