Positivity rate at 5.9pc in 24 hours

A total of 304 people tested positive with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With these, the total positive cases in the country rose to 19,55,731, according to the daily health bulletin issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS recorded the positivity rate at 5.94 per cent during the period, showing an upward trend in the recent days.

The positivity rate was 6.27 on Friday, 5.76 on Thursday and 1.14 per cent a week ago.
About 5,112 samples were tested during the latest reporting period.
A total of 47 people recovered from the disease during the period.
So far 29,131 people died of the viral disease in the country.
The country reported the first Covid cases and death from the disease in March 2020.
