FE Special
This is time for annual exams in schools across the country. Students are passing a very busy time. Through appearing in the exams, the students can best realise which subjects they are good at and which subjects they are not good at. Those who are weak in certain subjects can think of becoming strong in those subjects by studying those in this period, and till their new session begins.
Let us think about Sumon who is a student of class seven in a high school. He is very weak in mathematics. He expects only to get pass marks in the exam. If he studies the subject very seriously after the annual exam and till the beginning of the new academic semester, he is sure to do better in mathematics in the new class.
It is very natural that students might be weak in certain subject(s). If they utilise the maximum of this leisure time, they are sure to do much better in the new classes. In fact, in this leisure period when there is no worries or tension in the brain about exams or classes, students can focus on the certain subject(s) much better.
Someone very weak in mathematics may begin from the very beginning. He or she can be clear about basic lessons of the subject. They can start from the elementary book and can proceed towards the mathematics book of higher classes. Such a step of 'begin from the beginning' would be very helpful to be confident in the subject. The similar approach can be applied for any other subject such as English, science, Bangla, social science.
Repeated reading for the weak subjects would be very helpful. There are students who want to get results just after reading a chapter once or twice. Think about the writer who wrote the chapter. Think about his or her level of expertise on the subject and you want to receive his knowledge on the subject just through one reading. For understanding what the writer wants to say, you might have to read it several times or even many times.
The best you will utilse the leisure period, the more enjoyable and easier your new class will be.
