Postal deptt being upgraded with new ICT: Raju

Posts and Telecommunications Minister Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju Saturday said the postal department is being upgraded with adoption of modern information and communication technology (ICT) to cater to the growing demand of people. The minister said this as the chief guest, while addressing a discussion and prize giving ceremony organised to mark the World Postal Day, reports BSS. Around 8,500 rural post offices are being turned into e-centres to reach the ICT services to the people's doorstep, he said.
