Poultry worker killed in Gazipur

Police recovered hanging body of a worker from a poultry farm at Sreepur upazila in Gazipur district on Wednesday afternoon. The dead is Shimul Miah, 28, son of Abdul Matin, a resident of Rasulpur village of Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh district. Police said Shimul had been working for long in the poultry farm farm at Aktarpara under Sreepur upazila. He went to the farm from the house after taking meal (Sehri for Ramadan) early Wednesday. Locals found his hanging body, bearing multiple injury marks, at the farm and informed police. The body was sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy after recovery. The victim’s relatives said miscreants might have killed him and hanged his body there, according to a news agency.
