Power generation at Ashuganj power station resumes

BRAHMANBARIA, Apr 9: Power generation in four units of Ashuganj power station which was suspended due to technical fault in 132 KV grid lines Saturday morning resumed today evening, reports UNB.
Power generation in six units of the power plant and 55 MW rental unit came to a halt following an explosion in the grid lines at around 9:30 am. The generation capacity of seven units is about 730 MW.
Power supply in Brahmanbaria and Kishoreganj and the adjoining districts also came to a halt following the incident.
