BHOLA, Nov 9 (BSS): Production of electricity in the 34.5 megawatt rental power plant here is expected to begin next month to fulfill the demand in the district.

The present caretaker government has taken an initiative for setting up four rental power plants in the country to meet the growing demand for electricity.
Venture Energy Limited got the responsibility of building the power plant on an area of 1.79 acres of land of the Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration Company (BAPEX).
The BAPEX has set up a pipeline of 33 kilometres from Shahbazpur Gas Field of Borhanuddin Upazila to the power plant project.
Officials of the Power Development Board said 18 megawatt power is needed for the district. Additional power will be added to the national grid after meeting the demand for electricity in Bhola district, they said.
