KHULNA, Jun 24 (UNB): Power generation of the 40-mw Rental Power Plant at Khalishpur plummeted to 18 mws Tuesday following technical glitch only 20 days after it went into operation.
Sources said power generation at the plant suddenly came down as its eight out of 52 generators went out of order in the morning-at a time when there were nagging outages across the country.
The engineers of the British company Aggreko, who installed the petroleum-powered plant, were trying to repair the generators until the filing of this report at about 5:20 pm.
