Power tariff raise at retail level in the offing

Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd (DPDC), Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO) and other power distribution companies are going to urge the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) to raise power tariff at the retail-level to cope with the increased tariff at the bulk-level. Apart from DPDC and DESCO, three more power distribution agencies - Rural Electrification Board (REB), West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (WZPDC) and Power Development Board (PDB) - are operating in different parts of the country. — UNB
